## What it does

AKOOL's official remote MCP puts its Open API behind one streamable-HTTP endpoint: image generation and upscaling, image-to-video with effects and audio replacement, image and video face swap, character swap, avatar discovery, TTS with a voice list, and face detection. Most jobs are async, so the agent pairs each create call with a *_result poll. For a filmmaker-agent it is a performance-replacement and identity-swap kit — stand-in to principal swaps, pickup fixes, animatics from stills — rather than a general video-model shelf.

## Connect

- Remote endpoint: `https://openapi.akool.com/mcp/v1`
- Remote headers required: `x-client-id`, `x-client-secret`
- Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http akool-mcp https://openapi.akool.com/mcp/v1 --header "x-client-id: YOUR_CLIENT_ID" --header "x-client-secret: YOUR_CLIENT_SECRET"`

**Auth:** api_key — <https://akool.com/workspace/current/api/credentials> (Client ID + Client Secret, sent as headers)

## Field notes

Checked against AKOOL's own MCP docs on 4 Oct 2026. The endpoint answers a plain GET with 405, which is what a POST-only streamable-HTTP server should do, but no tools were run because there is no anonymous path. Copy the command above rather than the docs' quick-add line: AKOOL's version omits `--transport http`, and without it Claude Code treats the URL as a stdio command. Auth is a Client ID and Client Secret pair sent as x-client-id / x-client-secret headers — no OAuth, so both secrets sit in your client config; the docs say to use env substitution and never commit them. There is no public repo and no local package; the AKOOL-Official GitHub org holds only API demos. Scope is narrower than the AKOOL web app: the only generative-video tool is image-to-video, and video translation, lip-sync and streaming avatars are not on the documented tool list, so for talking-head or dubbing work heygen or sync-labs reach further. Face swap is the headline capability and the docs say nothing about consent — swapping a real person's likeness needs their release and a platform-policy check before it goes anywhere near a cut. Generation spends AKOOL account credits; account_credit reports the balance.
