## What it does

Artlist's hosted MCP puts the Artlist AI creative suite behind one OAuth connection: image generation, video generation, music generation and voice-over, without opening the Artlist Toolkit in a browser. For a filmmaker-agent the draw is not the model list but the paperwork — Artlist's commercial licence is why editors keep the subscription, and generations run on the same plan that covers the rest of the catalogue. Treat it as the licensing-backed corner of the model shelf rather than a frontier-model aggregator.

Verified 20 Sep 2026 the only way this vendor allows: Artlist's WAF returns 403 to every automated fetch of artlist.io and help.artlist.io, so the marketing and help-centre pages could not be read directly and the capability list above comes from Artlist's own published copy as indexed, not from a page we fetched. What we did confirm first-hand is the server itself — https://mcp.artlist.io/mcp answers 401 without a token, /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource returns resource_name 'Artlist_MCP_Prod' pointing at https://auth.artlist.io/ with openid and offline_access scopes, and that authorization server advertises a registration endpoint, so dynamic client registration works and there is no API key to paste. tools_sample is null because enumerating tools requires a paid account. Budget before wiring it in: connecting needs an active paid Artlist subscription with AI credits, generations spend those credits, and 'unlimited' plan language does not extend to MCP usage. Reliability caveat worth knowing: the connector broke for users on 14 Sep 2026 — sign-in failing outright after a spell of connecting with no tools available — Artlist confirmed a server-side OAuth fault and the reporter confirmed it fixed on 15 Sep. Not in the official MCP registry, so client connector directories will not surface it; add the URL by hand. If you want frontier video or image models rather than licence-clean ones, fal, replicate or runware are the better shelf.
