## What it does

BudgetPixel's remote server exposes its subscription platform as thirteen tools: generate_image, generate_video (text, image start and end frames, reference images, or video-to-video), generate_music, generate_sound_effect with an optional video input for synced Foley, and upscale_video through Topaz Labs at 1080p or 4K, plus list_models with live prices, uploads, history and a credit balance. Outputs are URLs that feed straight into the next call, so an agent can plate, score, Foley and finish a shot without moving files between vendors. Sign-in is browser OAuth against the account, not an API key.

## Field notes

Verified live 2026-09-15: initialize answered protocol 2025-06-18 as budgetpixel 0.1.0 and tools/list returned 13 tools without auth — one more than the README's table (save_to_assets). Listed in the official MCP registry as com.budgetpixel/mcp since 27 Aug 2026, a namespace that requires DNS control of budgetpixel.com, so the vendor claim holds. The connect line is the README's own. Everything else is the platform's gate: browsing models is free, but generation, upscaling, uploads and publishing need a paid plan — Starter is $5 a month for 5,000 credits, images run about 25 credits, video is billed per second and by resolution, and the pricing page lists commercial usage from Premium ($22 a month) upward. The MCP itself is closed-source glue; the repo is a README and a licence with 2 stars, in a GitHub org created the day of submission, though the domain dates from March 2025 and the submitter's account lists the company. The video-synced sound-effect claim is the server's own tool description; we did not spend credits to test it. Filed under model-hub rather than studio: it aggregates other vendors' models behind one bill, it does not plan shots or hold a timeline.
