## What it does

A hosted router over the frontier video models — Seedance, Kling, Veo, LTX, Wan, MiniMax, Pika and more — built around pricing rather than throughput. Its `plan` tool reads the live catalogue and costs a whole shot list without spending anything; `generate` returns an exact quote for one attempt and refuses to run until the agent explicitly approves it. For a filmmaker-agent deciding whether a 12-shot sequence is worth $9 or $90 before committing, that budget-first shape is the point.

Brand new — the repo was created 28 Aug 2026 with 0 stars and the MCP registry listing is from the 29th, so nobody has run this in anger yet. The vendor is admirably blunt about it: its own Claude doc says 'fresh exact-host Claude installation and end-to-end generation evidence has not been published'. We verified the endpoint is live (it 406s a plain GET, as a streamable-HTTP server should), the OAuth flow is documented, and the config matches the registry entry, but we could not run a paid generation to confirm the round trip. The README's connect line, `claude mcp add https://api.maxvideoai.com/mcp`, is malformed — it omits the server name and transport; the command above is the corrected form. Auth is browser OAuth with no key or header, and Claude free accounts only get one custom connector, so this may cost you your slot.
