## What it does

Mosaic Motion is an agent that turns a brief into a finished motion-design video — typography, layout, animation, voiceover — and its official hosted MCP exposes that as a job queue: create a video from a prompt with up to 100 attachments, poll the session, then refine the result with follow-up prompts instead of re-rolling. It renders 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 and 21:9 at lengths from under ten seconds to a few minutes. For a film pipeline this is not shot generation; it is the graphics department — title cards, logo stings, explainer inserts, launch and festival promo pieces — handed to an agent that can iterate on notes.

## Field notes

Read the tool list before you connect it: besides generation, the MCP exposes `purchase_credits`, `subscribe_to_plan`, `setup_payment_method` and `set_auto_topup`, and its OAuth metadata advertises `motion:credits:purchase` and `motion:account:manage` scopes. The docs say a purchase completes immediately if a payment method is on file, so decline those scopes or keep a card off the account unless you want the agent spending on its own. Pricing is $5 per 200 credits, which the docs equate to only one or two videos; longer videos, premium models, voiceover and follow-up edits all cost more, and no free allotment is documented. The docs also contradict themselves: the API overview says purchasing and top-ups are web-app only, while the MCP and credits guides list tools for both. It is a brand and marketing product at heart — launch videos, product demos, logo animations — so expect a house look tuned for SaaS promos, not grade-matched titles for a feature. Output is MP4 at a resolution the docs don't state, with no project-file or layered export documented. Checked 27 Sep 2026: https://mcp.motion.so/mcp serves live OAuth protected-resource metadata naming Claude Code among its expected clients, but this pass did not complete a tools/list call, so the tool names come from the vendor guide. No public source repo. The name collides with Motion (usemotion.com), the unrelated calendar app that also has MCP servers, so check the domain before you install.
