## What it does

reap's official remote MCP turns a finished long cut into distribution assets without a timeline: prompt-driven moment detection pulls short clips out of a video or YouTube URL, then captions them in 100+ languages, dubs them into 80+ with voice matching, and auto-reframes to 9:16 or 1:1 with face tracking. It also carries the last mile — connected-account publishing and scheduling to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and X — which makes it the delivery end of an agent pipeline rather than another generation tool.

## Field notes

The free tier does not reach the MCP: reap's pricing page puts API and MCP access on Creator ($9.99/mo) and above, so the free hour of watermarked 720p clipping is app-only and an agent connecting on a free account has nothing to call. Three of the 29 documented tools — publish_clip, schedule_clips, update_publisher_post — post publicly to connected social accounts, and the docs require the agent to confirm before running them; treat them as irreversible and gate them yourself. Marketing pages still advertise '10 tools', which the API reference contradicts. There is no source repo, and clipping quality depends on reap's moment detection rather than anything you can tune.
