What it does

Announced at Vimeo's REFRAME conference (Oct 2025) alongside 'Ask Your Library', Vimeo's official MCP server lets agents connect to Vimeo video libraries — list and search videos, read metadata and stats, update titles/descriptions/tags/privacy, and work with transcripts and captions.

Connection is set up through the vendor's flow — follow the official connect instructions.

Auth: oauth · env VIMEO_ACCESS_TOKEN — https://developer.vimeo.com/apps (OAuth app or personal access token with appropriate scopes)

Field notes

Beta. The official docs page exists at developer.vimeo.com/api/mcp-server but is gated from crawlers, so the endpoint URL and tool list need manual verification — follow the docs to connect. Community fallback: galacoder/vimeo-mcp (stale, transcript-focused).
